History of the conference:

For the first time, an international scientific conference was held in Ružomberok in 2011 under the title The Family in Health and Disease. Already in 2011, it was decided that the conference  would be a so-called traveling one, and the following organizers would take turns: the Catholic University in Ružomberok, Faculty of Health Sciences (SK); Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Faculty of Humanities, Institute of Health Studies (since September 2013 Department of Health Care Sciences) (CZ) and Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (since September 2017 Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (PL).

In 2016,  Wroclaw Medical University, Faculty of Health Sciences (PL) was invited as another co-organizer.

Since 2013, when the conference was held for the third time, it was in Zlín, the name has been changed to Family – Health – Disease.

This year is already the 14th edition.
